I’ve been a fan of jambone for many years and I’ve tried different flavors and methods, but they are the only one that I can make consistently. I just added a new flavor, and it is a lot better than the original. It’s a little sweeter, but that is my only complaint. I mean, why not? Well, because it’s not really ice cream. The ingredient is simply sugar so it doesn’t have the texture of ice cream. As a matter of fact, one of the reasons you get ice cream is because the sugar in it will melt and make ice cream. Jambone tastes like sugar, but does not melt like ice cream.
I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve seen the question “Should ice cream be made with jambone?” in my email inbox from people who are interested in ice cream. I mean, I don’t want to tell you what the answer was, but I can tell you what the question really means. The answer is, yes, ice cream can be made with jambone.
Jambone is a sweet, icy treat that melts in your mouth. It’s great for when you’re feeling nostalgic, like when you’re watching a movie and you really feel like the popcorn is melting on the sofa. But it also melts in your mouth when you’re trying to cut your ice cream, and not just for the ice cream itself. If you want to cut your ice cream, just throw some jambone on and it will melt.
