This is a video of my new home (above), built in the spring of 2017. The vail material is a special blend of concrete and marble. I used it to design the concrete veneer. I used a photo as a template for the rest of the home.

The veneer is a perfect example of the difference in structure between concrete and marble. Concrete is a solid, solid material, which makes it more durable and less likely to chip or crack. But it is also more like the smooth surface of marble. On the other hand, marble is more like a rough surface with imperfections. It’s a much cheaper material that can be molded to any shape, but it is more expensive and not as durable.

The result? An incredibly attractive and durable home in the concrete. And I think that is exactly the sort of home that we want to live in.
